It is that time of the year, and on behalf of the SGSS scientific committee, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the 15th SGSS Congress. This year it will be held in the Bride of the Re Sea Jeddah of this great nation at the Hilton Hotel, from the 13th to 15th January of 2024.

We have chosen the theme of this year’s conference to be about updates in Surgery with a whole panel dedicated to innovation and advances in surgery related technology.
We have invited different Saudi surgical society in the field of breast, endocrine, trauma, thoracic, colorectal, hepatobiliary and diabetic foot care surgery to present to you updates from different local and international experiences and international society American collage of surgeon Saudi chapter and international Surgical oncology. This broad selection of experts in the field of surgical care would hopefully pique all our surgeons’ interest as there is something for everyone to enjoy.

The congress will be held over 2 days, with more than 70 talks in tow tracks. We will also invite as well the best of abstracts submissions to present oral presentations. The sessions will be chaired by prestigious expert surgeons from the field who will moderate and enrich the discussions post presentations. 

There will be 50+ posters on display in the poster gallery throughout the conference. They would be judged by a committee to choose the top three who would receive awards. The day before the conference will be dedicated to workshops in basic and advanced surgical skills, Gastrointestinal Anastomosis, Extended Focused Assessment with Sonography in Trauma (E-FAST) Workshop, Principles of minimal invasive thoracic surgery, Simulation-Based Negative Pressure Wound Therapy , and Tips and tricks and more.

Our congress will be intriguing to most practicing all surgeons, physicians, hospital administrators, residents in training, students and any health care worker.
